Becky Scarborough
Pastoral Administrative Assistant
Becky has touched countless lives through her selfless acts of kindness. From her involvement with Hope Dealers and North Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief to her commitment to Operation Christmas Child, Becky's faith has been the driving force behind her charitable work.
Along with her husband David, she has been an active member of Catawba Heights Baptist Church for over 35 years, and since 1997, Becky has served on the staff. Becky delights in sharing stories of "Godwinks," instances that some might dismiss as mere coincidences, but she believes are God's divine hand at work in everyday moments. One notable example is when Walmart donated a stroller to the Hope Dealers ministry just as a woman in need of a stroller arrived at the Salvation Army. According to Becky, such stories of divine intervention occur regularly at The Heights.
Becky plays a vital role in Operation Christmas Child, a ministry focused on collecting donations throughout the year and organizing an annual shoebox packing party for children in need. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, Becky ensures that every aspect runs smoothly. Her love for serving others shines through as she collects donations, packs shoeboxes, and wholeheartedly embraces this proclamation of hope.
Isaiah 26:3 holds a special place in Becky's heart as her favorite Bible verse: "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you." This verse serves as a constant reminder that even amid chaos and uncertainty, trusting in God brings true and perfect peace. Becky's life is a beautiful testimony to the transformative power of faith and service. Her selflessness, dedication, and unwavering belief in the goodness of God serve as an inspiration to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
