BLESSED ASSURANCE

Psalm 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

The assurance of that verse should be our blessed assurance, as believers in Christ, today.

God’s Presence watches over His Own in Christ.

Psalm 145:4-7 (ESV) One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. 5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. 6 They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. 7 They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

We don't know what the future holds but we do know Who holds it.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

GOD’S GRACE IS WORKING IN HIS OWN IN CHRIST.

Isaiah 60:10b For though I have destroyed you in my anger, I will now have mercy on you through my grace. Mercy is a reality because of God’s favor, His grace.

Grace is God's Riches At Christ's Expense.

Grace is the fact that God gives you what you need, not what you deserve.

Mercy is grace in action.

Colossians 2:13-15 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

HEAVEN IS WAITING FOR HIS OWN IN CHRIST

"... and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

2 Cor. 5:1 "We know that our body will be destroyed. But when that happens, God will have a house for us. It will not be a house made by human hands; instead, it will be a home in heaven that will last forever."

2 Cor. 5:6,8. "We look forward with confidence to our heavenly bodies. And we are not afraid, but are quite content to die, for then we will be at home with the Lord."

You don't know how to live until you're ready to die.

1 Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!

Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

Refrain: This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

2 Perfect communion, perfect delight, visions of rapture now burst on my sight. Angels descending bring from above echoes of mercy, whispers of love. [Refrain]

3 Perfect submission, all is at rest. I in my Savior am happy and bless’d, watching and waiting, looking above, filled with his goodness, lost in his love. [Refrain]

Rev. 21:4 "He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever."

I Peter 1:4-6 "God has reserved for his children the priceless gift of eternal life; it is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And God, in his mighty power, will make sure that you get there safely. So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though the going is rough for a while down here."

God is beneath me, beside me, with me, around me, over me anointing, before me,

behind me, even beyond me. I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Jesus the good shepherd, The One and Only Savior and Lord provides protection, provision, peace, providence, His presence, and paradise.
