You were made for more!
Isaiah 43:16–19 “This is what the Lord says—who makes a way in the sea, and a path through raging water, 17 who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty one together (they lie down, they do not rise again; they are extinguished, put out like a wick)—18 “Do not remember the past events; pay no attention to things of old. 19 Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.”
“I am about to do something new”.
It's not okay to live in the land of okay.
God wants to prepare you through his promises.
God has to shake us up and move us out of the land of okay. And he wants to do that with encouragement.
First, remember God's power.
verse 16 and 17 “This is what the Lord says—who makes a way in the sea, and a path through raging water, 17 who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty one together (they lie down, they do not rise again; they are extinguished, put out like a wick)—
God's got to remind you of his power that's the same yesterday today and forever.
God is the God of the impossible. God can do the impossible.
God can make a way where there seems to be no way.
Just because a human being tells you it's impossible doesn't mean it's impossible.
God will sometimes lead you to an impossible situation so he can do the impossible in your life.
Exodus 14:1-2 “Then the LORD said to Moses,2 “Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; you shall encamp facing it, by the sea. “
God will lead you to an impossible situation so you can learn he's the God of the impossible.
God brings you to a deadend to take you to where he wants you to be.
If you're at a deadend right now you're in a place for a miracle.
Delay is just the phase right before deliverance.
The impossible is always easy for God.
Focus your eyes on God and realize that He's bigger than any problem you face.
Sometimes God brings you to a dead end to deliver you from your greatest problem.
Deal with the past so you don't dwell in the past.
We can't forget the past because we haven't dealt with it.
First you grieve your losses.
Brokenness leads to blessedness.
God uses grief to bring healing.
Jesus said “Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.”
Sometimes God has to break you before he can make you into what you're made for.
He loves you too much to let you live in the land of okay.
You have to forget your successes from yesterday because they won't help you today.
Sometimes God will give you less so that he can give you more.
God wants your character to match your calling so sometimes he'll give you less to prepare you for more.
We always want more but we're not willing to be responsible with less.
A third thing that's so important is to open your eyes to the new thing that God is doing.
Today, God's doing something new and he wants us to cooperate with him.
Truth is Things never really settle down.
Now is where you cooperate with God.
Today is the most precious gift that you have and you have to unwrap it.
God wants to help you and me perceive it, believe it, and then receive it.
God wants to do something amazing in your life.
